Cette robe Patron Modèle est un patron vintage original et habillé… il ne me manque plus qu’un mariage ou une occasion pour la porter !

Malheureusement, la vie en ce moment ne tourne pas vraiment autour de ce genre d’événement. C’est d’ailleurs l’origine de mes absences sur ce blog. Mais bon, ça fait au moins un peu de couleurs et de gaité pour changer.

Et la couture d’un patron vintage demande aussi pas mal de concentration, de technique et d’inventivité. De quoi changer les idées pour quelques heures ou même quelques jours ici !

Top Sepia en soie (Studio Calicot)

Le top Sepia continue le thème du dos décolleté en point d’intérêt principal du patron. Comme disent les Anglais·es, “Business at the front party at the back“… ce qui peut aussi décrire la nouvelle coupe de cheveux de ma nièce mais whatever.

Or donc, l’été étant objectivement la seule période de l’année où un dos décolleté a le moindre intérêt (en tout cas la moindre chance d’être vu dans mon cas), j’apprécie les patrons qui en proposent avec une compatibilité au port du soutif. On est pas obligé d’en mettre, mais au moins, si on veut, on peut.

Happy New Year to all! So the Claudia Tank will be the last pattern I’ll be featuring for 2021 (since I’m writing this from my couch just before the stroke of 12).

You may have noticed that I haven’t been prolific in the last few weeks… That’s because I’ve been totally overwhelmed with sewing Christmas gifts for the whole family… and I’m still in it to be honest.

I’ve been eyeing the Sienna Maker Jacket from Closet Core Patterns* since its release and a certain trip to Madrid.

And then there was the announcement of the Thread and Needdles “L’Habit fait le moine” competition. At the same time as the contest was announced, a 25% off promo appeared at Closet Core Patterns.

Pantalon Robinson Ensemble Patterns Chino Kaki

Robinson pants: comfy and chic (Ensemble Patterns)

3rd version of the Robinson pants, after the trial version with the wrong fabric and the version with flannel modifications. This is the final version, the one I will wear often, to go to work with and being comfortable (a major criterion for me) and chic!

I used a Pretty Mercerie khaki chino which is actually a 195 gsm cotton twill with 3% spandex and a black twill ribbon for the chopsticks on the sides.

Souvenir de canicule : un Charlie Caftan brodé ! (Closet Case)

Cet été, le Charlie Caftan de Closet Case m’a pas mal fait de l’œil… si souviens-toi*, il faisait trèèès chaud 😉

En août, la chaleur ne lâchant pas l’affaire, l’urgence de vêtements adaptés à la canicule s’est amplifiée, j’ai sauté sur l’opportunité de réaliser le Charlie Caftan dans un coupon de tencel nouvellement arrivé dans ma tissuthèque.

Autant te dire que ce tencel, entre le Charlie Caftan et le short Goji n’a pas fait long feu dans mon placard.

En 2005, j’avais eu une première phase couture, avec des cours de couture à la Mairie de Paris et tout. Et puis, la difficulté de trouver des patrons sympas (pas merci Burda), de terminer les projets, et le manque de place m’avaient éloigné de tout ça. Bref.
